We sell GIFT CARDS all year long. Great holiday gifts! If you are not local, you can call the French Twist during the week (443-920-3151) to buy one and we will send it to you so you can sent it to your loved ones.

We are open at 50% capacity inside but we added a large outdoor space for our customers.

Plenty of outdoor sitting! There is a large tent in the back of the French Twist so you can enjoy your crêpes and drinks away from the rain. If the tent is zipped closed, it is to keep it from being too windy inside. Feel free to unzip it and go inside to enjoy your drinks and meals.

Basic COVID-19 rule is: If you are inside and standing, you must wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart from other customers. Only 2 parties inside at a time when ordering.

Our SPECIALS:

Crêpe Suzette:  Traditional homemade beurre Suzette (orange and lemon juice caramelized in butter) poured on a freshly cooked crêpe.

Apple Cider:  Come try our all natural, GMO free, gluten free, kosher apple cider, can be served hot or cold!

It’s a passion, it’s a dream…

As a little girl, I spent hours in the kitchen watching my grandmother cook. Everyone cooks in my family – men, women, and children. I will always be thankful to my grandmother for giving me this love of cooking. My mother was also a great cook and she continued the tradition and I will do the same with my children.

I moved to the US in 1996 from France where I was born and raised. I spent the last 13 years as a stay-at-home mom raising my 4 wonderful children; Madeline, Jeremy, Margot and Jonathan. Now that they are all in school, it gives me the time to realize my longtime dream to open a French Café in my community.

What better place than the Maryland town of Sykesville to open the French Twist Café! Downtown Sykesville reminds me a lot of France. While walking down Main Street, you will find many little stores, hair salons, antique stores, boutiques, furniture, and restaurants. However, one thing is missing: a place to meet while drinking a good cup of coffee.

I decided to fill this void and open a coffee shop in Sykesville; a coffee shop with a French flair called the French Twist Café. It was important for me to bring a little bit of my French culture to my community, so I decided to offer a full menu of savory and sweet crêpes to be eaten on-the-go or to be enjoyed in a cozy environment. They are delicious, fun to eat, nutritious, and also very French! This was the perfect choice!

I’m proud and excited to open the French Twist Café in downtown Sykesville and to be able to serve my community with extraordinary coffees and delicious French cuisine. I am looking forward to meeting my customers and getting to know every single one of them. My goal is to create a place where the people feel welcome and comfortable, where they can enjoy:

Coffee, Crêpes and Conversation…
